Adapalene & Clindamycin Gel
Adaplene:
Better tolerated than tretinoin
3rd generation of receptor- selective retinoids
Adaplene gel 0.1% was more effective at reducing inflammatory & non-inflammatory lesions than was tretinoin gel 0.025%
Clindamycin:
Topical clinamycin is approximately equivalent to a 500mg dose of tetracyline.
Used to treat most effective against infections aerobic gram (+) cocci & Anaerobic gram(-) bacilli
For synchronized Performance
Conversion of clindamycin phosphate to Clindamycin in skin layers makes therapy more effective
Topical retinoids (Adapalene) enhances efficacy of Clindamycin by improving antibiotic penetration
Greater reduction in inflammatory and non inflammatory lesions
